Wine with Altitude
Printhie Wines was established by Jim and Ruth Swift in 1996 and has since become the largest family run and owned winery in the rapidly expanding winemaking region of Orange in NSW.
After over a decade of successful, modern winemaking, it is now a 350 tonne state-of-the-art winery, boasting excellent cellar door facilities, located within 82 acres of picturesque vineyard situated 620m above sea level - perfectly summed up by the Printhie trademark ‘Wine with Altitude’.
Printhie is now run by the Swift brothers (and sons of Jim and Ruth), Edward and David Swift. Although both under 35, the brothers have been central to Printhie Wines since it was first conceived. Ed has an engineering background and built the Printhie winery, whilst David trained in design, making him the perfect person to create the stunning packaging for the wines. These designs include the swift logo taken directly from their family name and the stylish labels, different for each varietal, which represent the winery’s distinctive view of Mt Canobolas during the changing seasons.
Ed and David are joined by winemaker Drew Tuckwell, who's dedication and skill has resulted in quality wines that recognise the varietal purity and cool climate advantages offered by the region.

Media Review
Peter Bourne, Gourmet Traveller WINE Magazine
"Printhie is one of the Orange region's rising stars, a claim reinforced by its crowning as the Most Successful Exhibitor at the 2007 Orange Wine Show. The 2006 merlot won a gold and the trophy in its class, and the judges were spot on."
Working with Winestream
"Being a relatively 'new kid on the block' Printhie Wines has gained huge benefit from the industry expertise and focused understanding of our target market that WineStream has been able to provide us with."
