The Turner Family, owners of Frog Rock Wines are a local legend in Mudgee NSW, with almost 40 years of continuous grape growing history. They established Frog Rock Wines (named after another local legend – the striking local landmark of frog-shaped granite boulders) in 1997 and created a range of wines crafted from their mature, pristine vineyards, specifically selected to produce expressive, pure fruit wines that reflect the unique Mudgee soils.

Using minimal intervention, the wines are made by two of Mudgee’s most awarded wine makers – David Lowe and Jane Wilson.

Recent accolades for Frog Rock include two wines being included in James Halliday’s Top 100 NSW Wines (Frog Rock Petit Verdot 2006 and Frog Rock Sticky Frog 2007). An unusual and enviable double honour for any winery and proof that this expert wine team continues to produce exceptional wines in a balanced, regional style.

Frog Rock has been proudly involved in the Mudgee Wine Festival every September and is a leading cellar door in the region throught the rest of the year. Situated just 5 minutes from the centre of Mudgee, their cellar door has a wonderful outlook over one of Mudgee’s finest garden settings with a lake and picnic areas, home to many exciting food and wine events each month of the year. The facilities offer 2 large tasting areas and an exclusive private tasting room, as well as a local produce store.

The perfect place to try some local wine legends.
